Sightings 2010

We are now up and running again and would be keen to hear of any interesting sightings.

Egrets, ruddy duck, pochard, green woodpecker	Potteric Carr	20th July	Seen during Worksop Wildlife Trust visit.
Hobby	Hallcroft Road, Retford	20th July	Being chased by Swift over bungalow roof tops!
Blackcaps, willow warblers, siskins, and a pair of woodcock	Beech Tree Avenue, Clumber and Thoresby Border	20th April	A good time of year to see these birds before tree leaf comes out.
Bullfinches	Worksop Garden	18th April	First in our garden for many years
Cuckoo	Budby Heath	12th April	First cuckoo heard this year
Chiffchaff and Crows	Anston Stone Wood	30th March	The crows had taken up residence in an owl box!
Siskins	Worksop Garden	30th March	They are back. A male and female
Golden Eye, Mandarin and Pochard	Clumber Park	19th March
Bittern	Chesterfield Canal	14th January	Is this a first!!
Brambling and pheasant	Worksop Garden	14th January	First sighting of brambling this year and the return of our pheasant.

This pheasant returned to our town garden in mid January.
